WTF....no boot

When my computer starts it post on BIOS correctly, then it recognized the raid setup. Here is where it gets interesting. it briefly displays something about a KERNEL error and shuts off, it happens to fast for me to see exactly what it says. It was running fine, and that last thing installed was the MSI DVD software. When I reboot it sends me to the NORMAL/LOGGED/SAFE MODE screen, and no matter which I choose it turns off. its a Windows ME Box. What would cause this?
 
Unprotected system files can't be damaged in numerous ways. Installing some software can overwrite important files. If this is the same machine as in your sig, I would recommend using XP as it has better protection of system files than previous versions.
