Yea, the new ones in stores supposedly have new copy protection. Might wanna hang on to it, i'm pretty sure one of the warez groups will come out with a way to bypass the protection eventually.
 
Hmm this DC was actually made in Nov 99!!! I think Sega repaired a dead one and put it in a new box and shipped it out. You could never buy a PSX in a store and get one that was manufactered more than a year ago. I'm definatly sending it back.
