Arggggg... my neighbors are apparently enclosing the normally 'outdoor/open' space under their porch.. they've been out there since about 7-8am.

first of all, what happens to the water on the deck?

Second of all, IT'S FSCKING THANKSGIVING MORNING

Eclosing to make a living space? With heat and drywall?

I'm going to be doing something like this, but not with heat and drywall next year to my deck to use as a sort of shed for a riding mower.

Home Depot has a whole system to do just this. BTW-it's called their "underdeck system."

7 AM? Call the HOA nazis.

Look at the bright side, you'll be looking at a more aesthetically pleasing porch when they're done.

Cool. Two birds on Thanksgiving.

They're probably doing it this morning because they had family over to help. Used to be every Thanksgiving my brothers and I would help my dad split and stack wood for the fireplace.

You nail some tin to the underside of the deck on a slight angle. The water drains at the side or preferably into a little collector and away from the foundation so you don't get water pooling in one place.
