WTF? My paypal is gone!

I got a email my password was changd yesterday even though I didnt visit paypal yesterday. Now I'm gonig through the arduous password recovery process which will take a week. God knows what a person can do in a week. The bad thing is, II'm supposed to ship something today and supply the buyer a tracking number!

Seriously WTF? Why hack into my paypal account with a total of $35?

Did the e-mail ask you to confirm any personal information? Because PayPal will never ask you for any sort of account information via e-mail. Are you sure it was just an informative legitimate e-mail?

never click an email link to login to paypal. go directly there from the url and login. if successful, the email is just a scam, if unsuccessful, you need to contact them via phone immediately.

Hmm, well it's not very often that you hear about people's PayPal accounts getting randomly hijacked. It must be someone you know personally, unless you've made a few purchases at some not so secure retailers recently?

That doesn't mean much. It's pretty easy to disguise an email to appear to be from another address.

use the Full headers option in your mail;then,
forward any paypal or ebay mail to

Spoof@ebay.com
spoof@paypal.com
