WTF!? "My Computer" is showing an extra optical drive

i have 4 opticals, and one raid array with 6 partitions

the partitions have always been
c, d, e, f, g, h (AFIAK)

and the opticals were i,j,k.l

now all of a sudden the D drive shows up as an optical drive, as does the j,k,l,m

I tested all 4 optical drives, all function

the extra one in My Computer is the M drive

what happened? and how can i fix it?

Negative
I have nero, but i've never done any virtual drive mounting or anything like that.

Right-click the M drive, Properties. Hardware tab, list what you see there.

When you installed Nero, Nero Image Drive was also installed. It functions as a virtual optical drive. It can be removed independantly from the Nero Burning functions.

Nothing wrong with it, no. Personally, I find it unneccesary as I am diehard Daemon Tools user and I use Nero only for its basic burning functions rather than any of the other extras.
