He's tossing some 57 mph fastballs too. It's like batting practice. They're losing 8-19 so far.

That just shows how bad Expos are. They scored only 5 runs.

The same happened to Paul O'neil in Cincinaty.

Robin Ventura pitched an innning earlier this year for the Dodgers. He did better then many of the regular pitchers that night.

This was one of the funniest games that I've ever seen.

I hate John Franco. He always gives up runs and just sits there smiling after he does it.

Todd Zeile should take over Franco's bullpen spot.

O'Neil said that he was never able to make a throw from right field the way he used to after that night.

I HATE THAT CRAP!!! Always with that stupid smirk when he gives up a damn homerun. To top it off when he knows that there is NO ONE in the freakin bullpen left to use in such an awful game he just plunks Nick Johnson. Way to go Franco...quite selfish of you to take out your frustration there pretty much making Art Howe bring in a position player. My goodness..he has got to go as well as Stanton (though I admit that Stanton has been WAY overused this season). Mets should start thinking about next season. I like their position players, but they really need to get better and younger pitching. 37+ year olds aint gonna cut it any longer.

C'mon, give Franco a break. Bet you guys he's in quest for all-time record in saves.

Yeah, I know what you mean...when Franco hit Nick Johnson after sitting there smiling when he blew the game, he just showed how pathetic he is. I hate him. He's useless. He should retire and be the full-time bullpen coach.

I think next year will be OK for the Mets and 2006 would be the time to definitely go for it all again. By that time Reyes & Wright should have good experience and Kazmir, Huber, and so on would also be up and producing for the Mets.

????? He hasn't saved a game in a long time and hasn't recorded many saves since he left the closers role. I won't give him a break because he does not seem to understand that its time for him to step down. I appreciate all he did in a Mets uniform..he is New York through and through, but its time for him to retire (I'm sure the Mets have future plans for him such as managing the Brooklyn Cyclones, pitching coach/scout...etc). Mets need bullpen and starting pitching help..and they REALLY need to get younger.

If they are 8 or more games behind by the end of the week, which is a BIG possibility if they lose a couple more to Montreal and get swept by the Braves then its time to think about trading guys like Glavine to a contender for some good prospects or middle relievers/starters for next season. Keep all the position players.

That was with the Rangers, not the Red Sox. Yeah it was stupid.
