WTF?! media player problem, please help

OK, I'm getting sick of Microsoft, my media player is ****ing with me, I had this problem where some files are being shown in blue lighting and some just don't show properly, I updated to MP10 and it worked but then, after a while(didn't use it whatsoever about 1 day) it will no longer play files without crashing, so I system restore and installed MP9 and the blue hue problem is back, any one know how to solve this problem? I have DivX alpha codec, nimo codec pack and Xvid.
