I got 1822 in 3dMark05. Why is my score so low? I was getting 10-15 fps in the first test, 4 fps in the second, 1-2 in the third, and 0-1 in the 4th. I didnt see the fifth, but I imagine it was low too. Why are thay so low. Look at my sig for my system specs.

*EDIT*- 3dMark01 SE score is 6096, which seems low
3dMark03 score is 7905
Doom 3 fps at 1600x1200, Ultra Quality: 22.9- too low

Could be various reasons:

1. Drivers
2. Chipset drivers
3. Remnants of old drivers from other cards? (dunno since you didn't say)
4. There are only 3 tests (the other 2 are CPU bound tests, and are doing software rendering via the CPU)
5. AGP Aperture
6. Fast Writes
7. Or what Viper suggested perhaps.

NO. It's the demo, so it cant be enabled. All my drivers are up to date

BTW, my 3dMark01 SE score was 6096 which seems low.

what card did you have previously? Make sure all the old drivers are gone by downloading driver cleaner Remove all ATI or Nvidia graphic drivers. Uninstall your card and reboot. It could be also that you have vsync on. Even if you have the demo of 3dmark doens't mean that your graphics settings aren't up too much or there's a tweak that's setup by default to lower your framerates.

Go in your video control panel and check. If it's enabled there it'll override the 3dmark setting. Seeing your other 3dmark scores having aa or af enabled seems to be causing the scores you get.

1. Chipset drivers.

2. AGP aperture should be 256mb.

3. Uninstall videocard drivers, use drivercleaner, reboot, then install the latest non-beta drivers.

I just reinstalled Windows and all my drivers, and my 3dMark03 score went up to 11284. Is that good or bad? Im running all the other tests as we speak

The reason why my score was so low was because I didnt set my settings on Application preference in ATI control center. Set it to that and poof, became normal 3d2k5 scores for my rig

I used to get around your score(3900+) with almost the same system. Here's what I did to get it up to 5300+, not that it matters since it's just a benchmark, but if you wanna know...
Upgrade drivers from 61.77 to 66.81
Disable fast writes
Close all running applications
Overclock the video card
Manually disable FSAA/AF
Set image settings to "High Performance"

There may be other tweaks but those are all I did IIRC.

Fast writes is usually something you have to disable in the BIOS.

stupid 3dmark05 closed on me. I got to the part where some soldiers start deploying from the ship. It's not even worth running this unless you have top of the line stuff. Games wont look like this for a few years if not a decade or so. Dont worry if you get a low score on this, most people will. I suggest just going with the 3dmark 01 and 03.
