Son sent this picture to me - apparently yesterday, some guy in a BMW pulled up to one of their work trucks - while they had a guy in the air - and then tried to push the truck out of the way.

Apparently they had to get into the car to stop the guy. Hauled away by the police, of course.

What the hell kind of drugs would make someone want to do something like that?

Maybe he ran out of his favorite drug and went on a rampage. Were they working on power lines?, that idiot could have killed someone, I'm sure he's gonna face some serious charges for that act of stupidity..

I'm going to guess it was not what it seems, something medical or the like.
Apparently BMW's don't have posi traction.

Looks more like an ex trying to get revenge on the linesman. Is that rubber from the tire??

First thing I thought of was that maybe it was something medical - diabetic/insulin related, maybe a heart attack. But, apparently he just pulled up to the truck intentionally, looked out the window at the guys working, smiled at them with a big shit-eating grin, then floored the gas. The first picture doesn't show the damage to the door - there are some good dents in the door from the work crew hitting it. My son was just about to smash the window out with a piece of 2x4 when they managed to get it open.

You can see in that picture above that the BMW even wore down some of the road.

Imagine being in the bucket of this truck when some asshole decides that he's going to push the truck down the road.

If they had a guy in the air when he did this, it's not just a traffic incident, right? He's looking at assault with a deadly weapon or maybe worse?

self-entitlement is a hell of a drug

LOL...that's kinda more of like when someone's pulling out into stopped traffic and they shove their front end into a lane instead of looking over and asking if I can get in. This is serious shit here, anyone should be able to figure out the consequences to the guy in the air and themselves for the charges he/she will now face..

As there was intent to kill, it's attempted murder.

I'm not sure how the legalese would work here... dunno if he was trying to kill, but his actions were certainly capable of killing. What I mean is, if he'd knocked the thing over and killed the guy, does he get busted for manslaughter or murder? I would hope murder, but I really don't know. Might depend on his lawyer.
