WTF - Just saw guy fly off his motorcycle on way to work

Phokus

Lifer
Was driving to work this morning and this guy was riding his bike on the opposite side of the highway. He must have run over something or skidded because he went flying and bounced like 7 or 8 times... people do 60-80 mph so he must've been doing that easily. Lucky he had a helmet on or it coulda been worse. Freakiest thing i've ever seen.

I'm guessing he didn't pick himself up, brush off his shoulders, wave and then take off?

Did you stop or anything?

No, i was on the opposite side (plus there's a divider between us) and i saw he had a buddy motorcyclist with him and all the cars behind him stop.

Nobody on my side stopped, not much we could do to help that motorists on the other side could do themselves.

Couldn't really see what happened after he stopped bouncing, but dear god, that freaked me out.

And actually, now that i remember it, i saw the back of his bike and his buddy biker so i must've seen the bouncing from the rear view mirror or side mirror... i was past them at that point.

man, i am NEVER going to ride a motorcycle and no way i'm ever letting my kids either. those things are death machines.

edit: time warp

there was a guy here around the 80's that rear ended a car and was decapitated by a cable above the intersection. People that witnessed it thought it was a movie set/prank.

Guys head went rolling down the road.

I had a donut with my coffee this morning.

americans on average consume 12 dozen donuts a year.

Is that a real statistic? I'm glad I'm way below that average.

lol same. I think this was my first donut this year. There's a place nearby called fracturedprune (http://www.fracturedprune.com) that makes the most freaking amazing donuts. Luckily, it's about 30 minutes away so we rarely ever go there.

Some guy on a crotch rocket tried to slip in between me and another car during rush hour. He ended up clipping the back end of my car. Nothing cooler than seeing a guy in shorts and a t-shirt sliding down the freeway at 65mph right next to you. talk about some nasty looking road rash. Luckily he had a helmet on or he would have been gone.

He'll never be the head of a corporation.

its worse:

according to the USDA, in 1999 the average American consumed the following: 134 pounds of refined sugar excluding honey, 365 servings of soda pop (638 cans per year for people aged 12-29), 200 sticks of gum, 22 pounds of candy, 63 dozen doughnuts, 60 pounds of cakes and cookies and 23 gallons of ice cream.

That's horrible. No wonder why so much of America is fat and disgusting.

Anyways, back on topic!

Phokus, would you have been happy if the guy riding the bike were a Repub? 😛
