Start calling dentists tomorrow morning for an emergency appt. You should be able to find a local dentist to help.

I also suggest that you go get some of the dental cement they sell in Walmart, Eckerds, CVS, etc. Dent OS or something worked pretty well when I used it. It's kinda like a putty that you pack into the crack/hole to protect the rest of the tooth.

Break out the yellow pages, and Good luck.

You can go to a local dentist, sure. Just be sure to work out if insurance covers it beforehand. You might also check with your university health center about dental services.

Actually, I've went to the dental school of my University when I was there. Cheap dental care FTW! :D

(Just remember, they're practicing on you...some for the first time! :D )

That's how u learn to be a dentist by practicing. As a 4th year dental student, I recommend you go to a dentist and get a temporary filling in there. Depends on the extent of the decay, but they will take a new xray. Do not go to walmart to by any cements or fillings. Have it looked at by a professional.

Why not use the temporary cements/fillings available OTC as a temporary measure? When my filling cracked, I had a nerve exposed. It cracked on a Saturday morning over a holiday weekend. My onlu choice was to wait u ntil Tuesday when the dentist opened again, so I used the temp stuff to mke it throguh.

Yikes...

I think it would just make it harder for the dentist to fix the problem once he got in there... cleaning up all that crap... having to make sure it's gone or the real filling might not stick, etc...

I guess if you are in a bind though... do what ya gotta do...

Time for a crown probably. Say goodbye to ~$800. Spend the money if necessary. Don't let them pull the tooth. You will regret it.

U might make it worse. If it's a holiday then yes, but if u can wait til the next day, have a professional look at it. Your own dentist you should be able to contact when there are emergencies.
