Farmers who treat their animals like that are in a very very small minority. Dairy farmers are already operating on a razor thin profit. Stuff like that ultimately leads to losses for a farm, rather than profits. If someone came to my farm and started jabbing my animals with a hay fork like that, they'd just as likely be the next thing stabbed with a hay fork.

Amen. Most (livestock) farmers are animal lovers, if not by choice, by necessity.
