Well the article itself was pretty horrible, so that's disturbing. I usually don't worry too much about animal rights, but this is revolting.

Jesus. Humanely slaughtering cows for meat is fine, imo. But there's just no reason for cruelty. Really sickening shit right there.

...I'd prefer to push my mayor, sheriff, DA, congressman, whoever to mercilessly punish the offenders. Because I'm not changing my diet. I do support local dairy farmers and ranchers over the large factory operations.
