I wish I could help, I'm too lazy to switch to explorer to look at the search.

The reason I asked was because your screenshot looked odd. You should have a list as long as the file types you support, and at the very least have an All Files *.* option.

thats what I thought. maybe a registry edit somewhere will fix it

Would those options even imply anything other than the extension on the file? Windows search sucks in general but I generally try not to use the wizard-like parts of it whenever possible and just do a *.ext kind of thing when targetting a specific file type. I'm guessing that'd be the same functionality and it's quicker to type than selecting from a drop down.

Windows Search sucks. Use the freeware Agent Ransack and brush up on 'regular expressions' (there's a wizard in Ransack too). Window's in-file searching is broken as well whereas Ransack's is awesome.

And no, I have no clue why there is only 3 extensions. It's as if your entire HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT hive was nuked or something. Sufficient privileges? :/ Maybe it's just slow at loading? I click on that combo box and it loads itself up eventually.
