WTF is wrong with my trillian? It opens, loads my lists, connects, then closes.

No error messages no nothing every single time it closes.

Just now it gives me an error message about XML parsing at line 1, then loads up, connects, and closes.

Anybody else having a problem or is it just me?

Hopefully that will answer your question.

There's some problem with the old AIM .dll file Trillian uses. AOL probably changed their code again or something. Anyway, the newest version of Trillian, or just the patch for the older versions, ought to fix you right up.

It worked for me, anyway.

Same thing here.

That's why I gave up on Trillian, you always have to patch it all the time. Just install ICQ Lite and forget it forever, no patches, no need to upgrade, does everything for me all the time every time.

Trillian works fine for me. Patching once in a while is no big deal.

It did everything for me too...

... Except allow me to chat with my MSN buddies, and AIM/AOL buddies without making me open seperate messaging apps.

I find an occassional patch is worth the ease of use and good features.
