wtf is wrong with dynamic2.anandtech.com?

I was not only forced to install AdBlock, I was forced to install FireFox. It's better than I remember, but I'm not sure if I can deal with the lack of mouse gestures from Opera. Is there an add-on that mimics that feature?

Go to your hosts file in %winroot%/system32/drivers/etc and add the line

whatever.com 127.0.0.1

Ie7 users: Download IE7pro from download.com.

Once you do that you can add to the "URL Block Filter":

http://dynamic1.anandtech.com/
http://dynamic1.dailytech.com/
http://dynamic2.anandtech.com/

Once you do that it works fine.

Dropped that in the hosts file and now it's fast again.

thx, did the dynamic2 one earlier and didn't notice a difference. i added all 3 and anandtech is back

Weird, before modifying the hosts file I noticed ads weren't loading anyways, but dynamic2 was just dragging shit down. I added those three hosts in and now it loads super fast. Whatever works.

Thank you everyone. Installed the Adblock plus plugin for FF and things are running again. I'll have to see what I can do at work since I have to run IE6 there.
