I was not only forced to install AdBlock, I was forced to install FireFox. It's better than I remember, but I'm not sure if I can deal with the lack of mouse gestures from Opera. Is there an add-on that mimics that feature?

-EDIT- OK, I found mouse gestures for FireFox. We're good.

Go to your hosts file in %winroot%/system32/drivers/etc and add the line

whatever.com 127.0.0.1

127.0.0.1 dynamic2.anandtech.com
127.0.0.1 dynamic1.dailytech.com
127.0.0.1 dynamic1.anandtech.com

Dropped that in the hosts file and now it's fast again.

(Not the I386 hosts file, but the system32 one)

It looks like they removed all the ads from the forums... I've got nothing now. (no adblock or anything installed here)

Yeah, I had to adblock dynamic2 just now, it was so slow to load. Anandtech works great now!

Weird, before modifying the hosts file I noticed ads weren't loading anyways, but dynamic2 was just dragging shit down. I added those three hosts in and now it loads super fast. Whatever works.

Thank you everyone. Installed the Adblock plus plugin for FF and things are running again. I'll have to see what I can do at work since I have to run IE6 there.
