Newsflash dude:

Ohio has a major fault line going to the Great Lakes area. This whole area gets a tremor every few years. Biggest we got was a 4 on the Ritcher Scale.

THe Jewel parking lot near my house flooded, and on the way home from bowling on friday, I was playing in it. The water was over the tops of my tires (only 29" tall :() But it was fun.

When I left jewel, my main access street was flooded as well where they are tearing it up, and it was well deeper than 29". I was going the speed limit (35mph) when I saw the puddle (more like lake) just before I hit it.

The water went over my hood, and my Zuk stalled while sending HUGE walls of water to both sides. The last thing I saw before the wave hit my windshield was a car coming the other way slam on its brakes and begin a nice lazy slide towards me. I was waiting for the impact but it never came thankfully.

It slid into the lane next to me, with water about 1/3 the way up the windows. My Zuk kinda floated to the other side, and stopped in about 12" of water. It then started right back up.

I got out to check on the other driver (It was a late 30's woman who was talking on her cell when she spun out in her red grand am. No pics of her, sorry. Wasn't good lookin anyway.) She was getting out of her car, and was ok, but drenched.

It was funny as hell. All you could see in her car were a bunch of paper and the headrests. everything else was under water. I was a nice guy and yanked her car out of the puddle (since I was already soaked) so it wouldn't sit there forever waiting for a towtruck. Pontiac must have known their cars get stuck, because there were 2 HUGE tow rings under her rear bumper. 2 points for them.
