Dude this has been the coldest rainiest summer of my life. I could see my breath in the air last week. I just checked, and July 1st is supposed to be rainy...with a high of 65. Seriously? i haven't even gotten to go to the beach a single time. I am NOT happy.

Yeah this is pretty weak, the last two nights we've had absolutely torrential rains which have done a real number on gravel driveways like mine. Made a pizza run for the wife last night, the road I take home was flooded in 3 areas, one of them about a foot deep and moving fast. The guy ahead of me in an F-150 wasn't paying attention and maintained his 45-50mph; I heard the "BOOMPH!!!" sound he made when he hit it from 100ft away and over the din of pounding rain. Guess he washed off his undercarriage pretty well, hope he didn't break his face on the wheel.. That'll learn'em!

And up here rain is the gift that keeps on giving...in the form of black flies. Lots and lots of black flies. :|

I'll take this over the possibility of earthquakes, tornadoes or damaging hurricanes :p

No danger of that here, and we only average about 9 inches of rain a year, about 310+ days of sunshine.

You've got to be kidding me. It's a good thing I mowed the lawn today when I had the chance.

We had about 3 months of that last summer.

Our summers are about 3 months. Yeah, it sucked. We had maybe 10 sunny days. Sometimes there would be small 45 minute periods where it would stop raining so I'd go out and cut as much lawn as I could before it starts again. That lawnmower went through hell. It STILL runs.

This year seems to be good so far, but because it's Canada day week, it started raining now and will be for a few weeks. It ALWAYS rains on Canada day. Often our fireworks get canceled or delayed.

I need to mow my lawn...but it's too fucking hot out there to consider it...besides, a few more days of this heat and I won't have a lawn left to mow.
(we have severe watering restrictions...I can water T-TH-S, but in this heat, it needs daily watering)

I'd be happy for some rain... instead we've gotten about 10 days straight of 102-105 degree weather in Central Texas.

The blazing sun has killed just about all my vegetable garden, as I just can't keep up watering them. I water them in the morning and night and they still dry out. Oh well, maybe next year.

Are you allowed to drink beer on the other days.

Pop a few and do not go inside when the urge hits:D

I want to stop rain partially just because I want people to stop posting facebook status updates like 'going to home depot to get lumber, gonna build an ark'.

You think you have it bad.

In the SF Bay Area, we only have sunny temps in the 70's!

Where's our summer biatch?! :p

That IS your summer biatch! Bay area summers are traditionally cool and foggy. (especially in SF.)
Want summer? Get in your car and drive east for 80-100 miles...We have PLENTY of summer for ya...:p

This morning, it started out relatively cool and cloudy. Didn't really get warm until about noon when all the clouds finally went past. Temp jumped up to 100 pretty quick...and because of the clouds, the humidity really spiked...to about 17-18%! <phew!>

Western NY, and I've been loving the weather. Decent amount of rain has extended the whitewater kayaking season quite a bit. Great hay crop; lots of hay = cheap hay. No need for air conditioning. Almost perfect temperatures but maybe a little bit too cool. But, I'd rather have 69 than 99.
