Why has the simpsons gotten so politcal lately? I watch it to get away from politics not be reminded on how messed up everything is...

I guess its because they ran out of good ideas and thats the only way they can get anyone to laugh... did anyone catch that movie preview? terrible.

I watched about 2 minutes of today's episide and switched to Sunday Night Football. The Simpsons just isn't the same any more.
