WTF is up with the "Re-Creation" people on Forensic Files?

I love those forensic type shows on TLC and Discovery..... but why do the re-enactment people look NOTHING like the real people? The people on the show are like hot chicks, then it shows the real person in a mug shot and they are like missing teeth, all battered up, the wrong RACE, wrong color hair.....and all kinds of crap!

No because I am like..... hey, that chick that murdered her 2 kids with a knife is pretty hot! (Blonde movie star type) Then..... it shows her in real life court video, and she is Latina, dark skin and dark hair, like 4' 5", missing half her teeth, and her face was all jacked up.......

Come on...... how hard is it to find a Latina ugly chick? (no racial profiling meant by that.... )
