WTF is up with Steam?

Its been forever, they should've fixed this crap a while ago. Isn't this the REASON steam is being used? To stop exploits and cheating... with fast updates and a community you can get the bad apples thrown out of...

Never seen anyone cheat by shooting through the shield while it's in front of you. I think steam is great for finding servers, as I hated having to launch the game to see the servers (I always used Gamespy 3D), but I don't like how it has to load CS files everytime. It seems to be much quicker though once it has loaded, either that or it's my blazing fast computer (probably both ). I haven't played in awhile but it seems like the people playing now are still pretty kickass. I haven't noticed there be a lot of n00bs or else I would be pretty good instead of mediocre right now

IT (assuming your talking about shield sploit) came out not even two weeks ago? Dude I played CS 1.6 for a good month with the shield sploit AND QUIT before two weeks ago. Seriously don't respond if you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

ook, finally installed that 400mb~ steam pack, updating didn't take long. game works.


but good lord, the game looks so ugly now. i was so used to the csrealism.com high poly model packs. is there an equiv for cs 1.6?

server browser isn't bad. i seem to find more low ping servers then before.


eax+a3d setting no longer makes my mouse freeze, guess thats good. all my buy scripts are gone

There is a real nice by script all ready in place. Go check out this thread to see how to load scripts. Script thread.

Some of the map updates are cool. Aztec is nicely done as is Inferno and Cobble. IMHO.
