<< I don't think its a black thing anymore, its a hip-hop/ghetto thing... >>
I must be getting old, I don't even understand the meaning of this sentance. wft does hip-hop/ghetto thing mean? 😕
btw, I'm not trying to be an ass, I really don't get it.
Also, this is obviously a joke...what could possibly be serious about that video? the "music" must be a parody of some supposed black music, and the kid was acting stupid to parody the silly music videos he sees on MTV. Give the kid some credit, he was obviously just having a little fun by acting silly. >>
What I mean is that its not a black thing anymore...its about a culture or lifestyle...hence hip-hop and or ghetto "thing" as I so vaguely put. I'm asian, i grew up in an all black neighborhood all my life till i went to high school...I am now 24, I live in Baltimore City on my own, about the ghettoest city you'll ever see. I can understand the clothes and the language and the whole culture of growing up in the hood. However I choose not to wear hip-hop gear or talk like I'm black because I indentify with my own Korean culture because I choose to. But I don't really care if someones lived the life or has been exposed to the culture and enviorment if they act it. I do have a problem with spoiled rich kids who a silver spoon in their mouth acting like their something their not and have no understanding of it besides their Jay-Z cd's and Boys in the Hood movies. It's like a black man who grew up with wealthy parents in the burbs...he shouldn't be able to talk or act "white" cuz he's black? (this post isn't really directed at you btw..just general statements im making) I mean thats his life and the culture and upbringing he was brought up on. I probably confused u all even more, as I am drunk and got back from a crazy night.
