That's because people always choose to see the worst in everyone else. Especially when dealing with anything related to a corporation (even if it is just an individual franchisee). Never mind that the station couldn't afford to sell at the cash price if they're paying the CC fees, it's all a nefarious scheme to screw you out of more money.
