well...

newegg has the stepping listed as FJQ...lwhich means it is a 1.35 volt version.

now if newegg listed FQQ and said 1.35, it'd be a typo

i really don't think this is a typo..

if it is so, then that would be good. you might pay less for an equalent chip of higher clock..

he doesn't mean the cpu is crap, he's saying it must be an error.. otherwise, why would he get one for himself??

For those who are interested, here's a link to a Swedish overclocking site that has quite a few reports from people with the 2400+ variety of this chip (AXMD2400FJQ4C):

Info

At a glance, they appear to be overclocking to a slightly higher level than the 1.45V counterparts, and hopefully this is an indication of good things from the 2200+.

Don't get too enthralled about the big overclocks. I have not seen one of these mobiles from the 5 that I have had that got over 2.4 gig which is the same as my Tbred B that I have had forever and 2500 I have had about a year. So lets just say you eek out 2.5...big deal.

I think everyone needs to be running A64 machines after my experience with one and a NF3-250 board. There is sooooo much more than the benchmarks are telling. I only built one cause I got a cheap (165) A64 3000+ on the refurb area and thought I would give it a go...I won't look back...I am spoiled.

Not possible. Highest I've seen from the swedish overclockers, and they get even better chips (2.0Ghz @1.35), is 3133 mhz on phase change, meaning the chip way is less than freezing point.

As far as should you buy it? why not? only 77 bucks. Then you can come back and tell us how it did. I would buy one but I already have four mobiles.

I'm sure a decent ammount of all the other mobile models (2400+, 2500+, 2600+) could run at 1.67ghz with 1.35v
Might be interesting to try though.

If you follow the link and scroll down, you will see quite a few of the 1.35V 2400+ on the first page. I think the first 6 reply posts are examples.
