My friend's friend is an employee and it looks like they got the GF4 4600 for 1/2 price and sold it to my friend for that price with receipt.. do they get that much discount ? heck I'll take a weekend job to get that discount ?

uhhhm if thats the case, Im getting one tomorrow. My friend works there and gets MAAAD discounts. he gets 1000watt MTX thunder 8000's for 42$ each and a 700watt MTX amp for $150...he is my official hookup 😉

I used to work there two years ago. The discounts were never very much on computer stuff. But you could get serious discounts on car stereo stuff and home audio equipment.

I find it hard to believe the employee price on a computer peripheral is so low.

If you honestly believe that CC makes that much money off a GF4 I have this wonderful bridge I'd like to sell you...

😛

Viper GTS

i doubt my friend would lie to me.. he got a bunch of stuff from cc really cheap... i doubt it.. it's not even him that gets it, it's his friend's friend..

i would like one too..

There may be a special employee purchase program with them. BB had some of these. We'd have to fill out a form and send off... but it was incredible. 🙂

<< Can you have him scan his receipt and post it so we can Photoshop it and PM with BB? >>

Just don't get thrown in jail😉

Car stero and home audio is sold for way over wholesale prices. At least 30-50%, while PC stuff tends to be around 10-20%

Forcesho, I'd be suspicious.........Anyone who's worked in retail can tell you how easy it can be to change prices and all that as long you're willing to take risks

I used to work in retail audio many years ago . . . the manufacturers often had an "acommodation" program where store employees could get products for 1/2 off retail directly from the manufacturer (and occasionally through the store).

Why else would an audiophile work in a stereo store? 😀 😉

After evaluating the product in my home for a few weeks, I would sell it to my friends and upgrade my audio system to something better. I got a MONSTER audiophile system ultimately for free that way (and my friends really appreciated me). The store or manufacturer didn't mind as we ultimately got very knowledgeable about products and our selling improved.
