Desafinado is my favorite song to play, but I wonder what seperates my $5 book with it and 11 other songs from this $335 version?

Oh, it came with a disk. It's a xylophone instead of a sax though. It sounds weird. If I get to do my own jazz and blues show like I want, I'll play it.

Maybe it's the music and the rights to perform publicly? Do you need rights to do that?
 
Hm... that's a big price difference.

Why don't you just play it and record it so you can listen to it when you feel like it? It may be possible with a keyboard but I kinda doubt a sax can be played correctly that way.

Other than that, I don't know. 😛
 
Maybe it's an orchestra or concert band arrangement and comes with all the parts? Or perhaps it's the "Sanctioned" version and the performance royalty is included in the cost....?

Just kicking around some ideas.
