WTF is this Quizno's commercial?

I think the commercial is hilarious. But with the amount of money that they're potentially losing, I'm not surprised that they went for low-budget.
 
i don't think they planned for low budget, or even explosive levels of discussion

i think they were aiming for a niche type market, rathergood.com is a pretty popular website
anyone familiar with it is now a big quiznos fan

I forgot to mention: Rathergood.com is probably the WORST site I've ever been to. Nothing is funny there and it sucks.

with the exception of the moon song being funny in a wtf kind of way, i agree. i just went there and watched a few flash movies... wow are they bad. esp that blode series.

Yeah, it's not like I didn't give it a shot or anything...I watched a good amount and wanted to poke out my eyes. I so wanted to kill the webmaster :|
 
Yeah.. What is that thing anyway? I saw this post and had to laugh to myself because I wondered the same thing. Maybe that's the point of the commercial. Maybe they want us to start a discussion about it and then Quizno's would be on our mind. It surely doesn't put Quizno's in a favorable position in my eyes.

That Quizno's thing does look creepy though, whatever it is. Not nearly as creepy as that Marianette thing on the newest Best Buy commercials though. You know.. When he comes up and asks the girl about the laptop and she says that it's wireless. The puppet then dreams about running without wires in a field. I find that commercial disturbing.

Forget Janet Jackson showing her fun bag on tv, we need to sensor stuff out like the Quizno's thing and creepy Best Buy puppets.

Are they Rats singing? I don't know why a FOOD company would want to have Rats singing on their commercials. Do they use Rat meat in their subs? Is that why those chose rats? Ick. Now I'm never going there...
 
BTW, this thread is excellent evidence that the commercial works. You saw it, you liked/disliked it alot and now you want to talk about it with others. I think what they did was pure marketing genius.
