Know that in any grouping of individuals, even such as we have here on Anandtech, there will form an indefinable social bond that has as one of its inevitable characteristics, a home grown, ingrown patois born out on a primordial urge to belong. I hope I make myself clear.

but did it really come from staples.. or did someone find it elsewhere, and it was just first introduced here from staples...

I didn't see it with Staple's but I still appriciate it. It was not an intentional thing that was done. From what I have heard the person who started it made a grammatical error and it caught on.
