It's MSGSVR32 right?? Anyway, go to www.deja.com and click on "search
discussions". Type in the exact error code "MSGVR32" or whatever it is in the search window. You will probably find someone with the same problem. Or go to the Microsoft support site and do the same thing. I remember having that same problem before and that's how I solved it. Lemme know if you don't have any luck and I'll try and find out what I did to fix it, it was a while ago.

I am now getting this message on one of my systems when I try to play game cd in cd-rom. The system stops responding. When I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL it shows Explorer has stopped responding. The cd-rom will not respond to the eject button. I have to end task on the program trying to use the cd-rom (if I initiated the game from desktop). Often times I have to reboot. This system was working good. Tried Half-Life today and it would not work. Tried other games, nothing. The cd-rom is a Creative cd-rw 4224. (I know this should not be my primary cd-rom) I had 3 computers with 5 cd-roms (2 burners). I built 2 more systems but could not afford new decks. If you find an answer for the message please post here.

Alot of times this is caused by conflicts with recently installed hardware or software, a big one is soundcards, some have had success with uninstalling the drivers completely, switching PCI slots or installing reference drivers.
Try removing any mouse software also and letting windows install generic drivers.
Turn off any screensavers and try disabling Power Management.

I believe MSGSVR is Message Server. It is a component of Outlook Express if I am not mistaken.

TGG:
Can you post the exact error message?

Msgsrv32.exe is a program that runs invisibly on the Windows 95 desktop and performs several background functions necessary for Windows 95 operation. These
functions include:
1. Mediate Plug and Play messages among various parts of the operating system.
2. Coordinate automatic responses to Setup programs.
This includes checking whether a Setup program has improperly overwritten Windows 95 files, and optionally
restoring the Windows 95 versions of those files.
3. Display the initial logon dialog box if networking is enabled.
4. Play the system startup and shutdown sounds.
5. Load installable Windows drivers at startup and unload them at shutdown.
6. Run the shell program (usually Explorer.exe) and re-run the shell if it fails to respond.
