WTF is going on?

Rain, rain, rain, nothing but rain!

We've gotten literally more rain in the last two weeks than we did in the entire year previous.

Yeesh, I miss the normal Phoenix weather. 🙁 Give me some sun.

Oh, and its raining again right now.

And oh, according to weather.com's 10 day forecast, 9 out of 10 include rain. Rain and T-Storms.

Bah!

😀

I need to move back to AZ.

You may be able to paddle here soon.

I can't believe the salt river basin actually has a RIVER running through it. The most i've ever seen in there is a very small stream. I've lived here 4 years and never seen that much water in there.

Hrm. The seasons are screwed up. Here in Missouri we've had several large snow storms every year since I can remember (roughly 20 years), and the school district usually announces 3-10 snow days per year.

This year: 0 "snow days", and only a few light snows that quickly melted, or didn't even accumulate on the ground.

Meanwhile the Pacific Northwest is racking up a large drought...wish some of the southwest's weather would migrate northward.

No kidding I've seen snow in Southeast/Central Texas 3 times in the past 24 years. One of them being this one.

With all the rain we've had, we still won't even be close to helping the drought we are currently in.

The monsoons were the thing I liked most about arizona. I had never seen lightning crawl across the sky (like it does in movies) IRL before. With all the wide open space you really get an amazing grasp of the power of a T-storm.

In Washington, we are in the middle of the driest February... ever. Or at least, since the late 1800's when they started recording this stuff.

But the desert is going to explode in colours like mad.
That is so beautiful. I really need to go back in the spring.

Too bad it'll probably cause tons of wildfire later in the summer when everything dries out 🙁

People care about AZ? Wow....learn something new every day.

Ummm....probably the people who live here...

sarcasm...know of it?

Reading your post it is completely obvious that you were being sarcastic.

Usually the thing about sarcasm is that it isn't spelled out...but ill remember to make sure I do so for you in the future.

Affecting us here in LV also.

However, it helps refill the water storage and snowpack levels, good for it.

You are getting hit by the same storm systems that moved through SoCal for the past 2 weeks.

Blame it on El Nino (the warmer than usual waters in the South Pacific).
