WTF is going on here.....?

This is a common sight at their silly little competitions. They shack up the entire team into a single room, some of them get pissed off as women will with each other and go outside to sleep.
 
Possibly sleeping after a competition? Resting/Relaxing before competition? They're just laying down, whats the big deal?
