GIGABYTE GA-7VAXP
9500PRO
2 SEAGATE 7200 80 GB DRIVES
CDRW,DVD
512 KINGMAX MEMORY

WHAT HAPPENS IS THAT EVERYTIME I SET THE FSB TO 133MHZ MY SYSTEM WILL REBOOT ITSELF UPON SHOWING THE XP STARTUP LOGO, I CAN HOWEVER BOOT INTO SAFE MODE JUST FINE BUT IF I TURN IT DOWN TO 1OOMHZ FSB THEN EVERYTHING WORKS FINE ive tried to another processor 2400+ aswell as other memory and still the same thing happens it doesnt seem to be a hardware issue cause im in safe mode now and everything is fine. also im running memory at 333MHz ive also tried to run at 266 as well as auto still the same thing ive also set the dip switches manually with sam results..

anyone have any ideas??

Ok if that is the case pull everything except for the memory, cpu, motherboard, video, and hard drive... then start adding things in slowly until you get the problem back. Then you got your problem. Just one suggestion... dont put a card in the first slot under the agp slot. Its a norm no no....

then it is one of the resident parts in the machine. such as the memory, or the video card probably or just not enough power. What size power supply do you have trying to run all this equipment? and what brand? did you check your rails? It is sounding like a driver issue because all of the hardware seems to work. That is why it works in safe mode but not full mode. The biggest difference being that it is loading the drivers in full mode where in the safe mode it is not loading the correct drivers... I would look video first then go to psu....

i have a 500W Raidmax PS and ive tried running the system with just the bare minimum and still rebooting at startup
i have another PS i can try ill give that a shot and see what happens. but it does look like its a driver issue cause it boots just fine but just as the logon window is about to appear it reboots or if not it just hangs... im getting really pissed now if there is anything else anyone can think of please let me know

Maybe turn your fsb up to 133, but at the same time make pick the most conservative memory settings.

Or maybe see if their is a Bios update.

will do today after work ill see if i can get the bastard working ....

if theres anything else i should try please post
