WTF is Airsoft?

Airsoft guns are guns that mimick real guns in size and color but shoot hard plastic 6mm BBs. The good electric guns from Tokyo Marui shoots about 280fps and can be upgraded to fire over an excess of 450fps along with a higher rate of fire. Plastic bodies can be upgraded by aftermarket metal bodies a more realistic look.

Actually, there are metallic BBs, but aren't used in games with people in them. (At least I hope not).
 
Ahh, so it's like those little toy guns you get in the supermarket that come with little plastic projectiles to shoot?

How much does it cost you mean? About 380 euros, propably cheaper in the US. Electric, selectable single-shot, burst or full-auto, bipod, fold-up stock etc. etc.

so just to clariffy. People use this guns much in the same way as paintball? I mean it sounds to me like these plastic bullets can do some real damage. Do they hurt?

And how do you "win"? In paintball, you can see how many times someone has been hit, but how does it work here?

Yes. It does hurt a bit, but it's nothing major. They COULD cause damage if you shoot at point-blank range with modified gun on exposed skin.

Airsoft is based on honor-system. The pellets don't leave a mark. If someone cheats and gets caught, they get kicked out.
