I had a customer come in to work the other day, fairly attractive young blonde (sorry, no pics, I don't have access to the security cams and the b&w only anyway) comes up to the counter to make her purchase. I ring everything up, and she pulls out her credit card and swipes it through the little POS terminal.
Of course it beeps saying it didn't read it. So I have her try a couple more times, then it's my turn - do the exact opposite of the instructions, and of course it works fine. So while the transaction was authorising, I use the idle time for some conversation saying that the terminal is a finnikey piece of equipment. She responds be saying that it must be a woman. So I laughingly say, "Well, what does that say about me then?", to which she replies that I must be a "metrosexual" - or at least thats what it sounded like she said. She sort of described it briefly, but I didn't quite follow.
Anyway. What is this thing? And is it a good thing to be one?
