I think it died from the heat the LCD gives off... it's been idle in the middle of my screen for well over an hour now...

Ack, that sucks if it died in the middle. Talk about having the worse dead pixel ever! It's like playing Plinko and having the damn disc get stuck right in the middle on top of $10,000.

ughh, worst dead pixel EVER! I knew my 2005FPW couldn't be perfect, there was just no way with all the bad things I've heard about it :(

The casing shouldn't be open like that, it's a manufacturing defect, no matter how long it has been.

I had this same thing happen on my 18" Dell LCD. At first I thought it was a cluster of dead pixels. Then it started walking around.
