I was checking my Bank of America online banking and noticed I got charged $23.90 from AOL Online (800) 827-6364. I don't even use AOL as my provider and no clue why the charge. Called the Bank and they said it is AOL that charged me. Put in a dispute to see what is all this all about.

Just want to see this happen to anyone before. They will disable my debit card and send me a new one.

No. I didn't buy a computer from Dell. The only things I bougth from Dell last 6 months are Canon A70 and LCD. You got me thinking though. I got an order cancelled for $23.90 for a compact flash card from Dell.

EDIT: Just checked Dell's history site and the cancellation is for $50 not 23.90...still don't know where that $23.90 is from.

That's really weird. Hope no one's screwing with your credit card. I had someone take out a credit card in my name and charge some stuff to it before I found out and filed with the fraud dept. at the credit company. I'm 99.9% sure I know who did it (who I won't name here), but I had no proof. 🙁

well in the old days u didn't even need to get a credit card in your name all u had to do was use a credit card maker program and if u were lucky it would go thru

Someone probably jacked your credit card and is using it to have an account on AOL to distribute warez of some kind.

I don't think its the credit card, the money was withdrawed from the checking, its definely the debit card. I recently got a new debit card and activated online. At least I got that debit deactived and get another one, this time I will call to activite it.
Hope they track those f#$kers down and lock them up.

The bank will credit back my money and do some investaging with AOL. 🙂

your credit card number may have fallen into the wrong hands. whoever has it was probably just trying to see whether the card number worked. later they'll really charge it. better get the number changed quick.
