Well, I've played musical instruments pretty much all of my life. I played clarinet in the school band for 4 years, and played a little piano when I was in middle school.
Three years later, I have completely forgotten how to read music. I don't must mean notes on the staff, as that was expected, and will be easy to re-learn. I can't even keep a steady beat by tapping my toe, and after a week of practice can almost clap out a simple (quarter notes, eighth notes and quarter/eighth rests) accurately.
Dotted notes are killing me. How can I get back to the form I was in? Do I just need to keep tapping my toe? You do not believe how stupid I feel for not being able to do something I've seemingly always been able to do.
