Besides, who in the hell uses a BROOM to clean the inside of their house? You need a friggin' vacuum cleaner and maybe some swiffers for that. A broom would just push the dust around.

I have a cleaning lady as well, and contrary to what some might think, it's not because I get a rise out of having someone performing chores for me, or because I have nowhere else to spend money. It's because I've calculated my finances, weighed the amount of time it would take for me to clean myself versus the final end result of how clean the place actually ended up becoming - and I've decided on using a cleaning lady. $50 for 2 hours, once every 2 weeks? Yeah, indulgence overload :disgust:

So how much does a cleaning lady cost? Keep in mind, I'm in the Dallas area.
We were looking for someone to come by, maybe one 8-hour day a month and help my wife with some major cleaning. Either that, or someone to come for ~2 hours every week for dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, straightening, bathrooms, etc.
We're not rich by any means, but are pretty busy, and with 2 kids, the house can sometimes get out of hand before we have time to address it.
What's the going rate? Minimum wage? Beter to find someone via word-of-mouth, or talk to a service?

I would google maid service in your area... its good to go with a company because they most of the time *SHOULD* be licensed and insured...
