WTF? How do individual websites get indexed?

I have an online diary... I've been writing in it for a year or so now... but anyways, never done anything to "promote it", although i'm not sure why anyone would do that to their personal opinions... but I guess if someone does an MSN auto search under "Christian students", it shows up like so...

This Christian student from Seattle talks about his friends, loves, and happenings of his life.

Anyone know how that might have gotten indexed like that?

Has it ever been linked to from any other websites? That's generally how it can happen from my understanding. And even if you haven't done anything to promote it yourself, there may still be external links to it that you aren't aware of.

It goes by how many people are linked to you and how popular they are.. At least thats the way google is..

I should clarify... I used to be a very strong Christian. About three months ago, I turned to agnosticism... realizing a lot of the bitterness and anger I hold towards whatever deity exists, if any.

So, the majority of my entries on there from the last year would have been from a Christian standpoint. Probably why.
