Thought maybe it was a motorcycle or some car with a terrible exhaust coming down the road, but when I get outside to look a damn Tony Stewart replica nascar drives by the house.

Nope. I'm in basically a small town neighborhood. Nascar is huge around here, but this caught me off guard. Figured the car might have been in town for show and press at the UROC event that is going on this weekend.

I heard a loud vehicle the other day, and it was a B-52 flying 500ft off the ground!

Wright-Patterson AFB. ;)

i went to "the great race" finish in downtown Tacoma WA earlier, and they had a Nascar car run down the finish line before the oldies came.

I was standing right along the finish line probably 5 feet away from it -- and it was SOOO loud it's defening. I only had to put up with it for a couple seconds as it passed by. I felt sorry for the people at the end of the line, where the dude revved his engine for about a minute!

That is freaking awesome.

If I ever have $50,000 sitting around, i'm buying a used NASCAR race car and making it into a street-legal beast.

You haven't heard loud until you've been to the NHRA nationals and heard Top Fuel funnycars. When those things launched, you could see the soundwaves ripple through the grandstands, and when it hit you, it hit you like a piledriver.

Our nayberhood is filled with teenage street racers and rich folk with sweet cars. Across the street one household has got a Viper, a Crossfire, a couple Harleys, the works. Two houses to our left some kid's got a riced out 98 Stang, which he burned out right in front of our house once while I was taking the dog out which was sweet. A couple houses to the right the kids have got pimped out Maximas, Benzes, the works.

Good stuff.

I went to the NHRA races last August.

Holy chit. Your lungs rattle, your eyes rattle, the whole earth shakes. It's intense.

Well I have to agree Nascar is kinda boring. I like watching Indy and speed cycling better.

They need to add something to Nascar to make more interesting , I find it about as exciting as watching paint dry. I want to get into it but just can't.
Maybe something like speed bumps to force other drivers into.
Giving them guns to fire at targets on the infield to score extra seconds on their finishing time would be cool!
Or how about the audience get to throw frozen turkeys onto the track :)

Yeah I would imagine so, There was a race near by today in Joilet Illinois,Watched some of it in HDTV. I like golf also but can only watch about half an hour on tv and get bored with it.

Very true. I went to my first race at Daytona this year with my son and it was great.

We borrowed some headphones and were listening to the drivers and pit crews talk to each other. Amazing.

I use to look down at people that only turned left. But not any more.
