I guess Google/YouTube are getting more serious about their relationship and it's causing things to suck.

Many of my searches lately end up returning scores of YouTube videos.

I guess I will have to add a -youtube to all my searches.
 
google changed something about how it returns results recently, it now weights pings from social media and such higher, which is prob why you see youtube first now
 
Now that you mention it, I noticed the same thing, my queries are returning youtube videos even when I search for things where it makes no sense to show a video.

Personally I think it's a big downgrade for google. I've always loved google because of the simple clean interface and reliable search results. Now they're watering down the search results with social media drivel, I'm going to start looking elsewhere for search results.
 
Erm...what are you guys searching? :hmm: I typed in several things to the search engine, but got one video at the bottom of the first page for only one of my 6 entries.

Tried both logging into my Gmail and out to see if the search results varied, but no avail.
 
please post some example searches, i've never seen more than a couple vids, and even then only when i'm searching for a song or something.
 
Have to get something out of the $1.65 billion they used to buy the site. That's how google makes most of their money (advertisement).
