WTF Gigabyte

I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NS, and it's a nice board. However, the BIOS is not accepting the options I set. In my BIOS, I have the option of setting the three different boot devices. All three slots also have a "Disabled" selection which I assume means disabled. When I set all three boot devices to disabled, the board continues to boot from the floppy and hard drive. Is this normal behavior?

EDIT: NM, tried on Intel and got boot failure.
Did you saved the configurations? Did the BIOS keep those changes?

Yes, and yes. I want to prevent the machine from being accessed, and it doesn't have a boot up password setting. What brand is your motherboard?
