Same here in Colorado Springs. Saw it yesterday for about $1.78 for regular. Now it's about $1.88. Should have filled up yesterday.

I was mad about paying 1.839 for my fill-up yesterday, I guess I should be happy.

Let's hope they get stuff settled soon, this is crazy.

33-35 miles per gallon city driving here with air conditioner on. 2003 Civic Vtec. Only spend like $10 a week on gas.

Because "racers" aren't always "racing"? Besides, a sport compact car driving around WOT all day probably would still get better gas mileage than a hummer or expedition.

Gas prices are mildly annoying but like Skoorby said, it's more fun watching SUV and pickup drivers cry and get all butt hurt over gas prices. My car gets almost 30 mpg in mixed so the rest of the country will be f*cked from gas prices before me.

Holy crap Shadenfroh. I'm only an hour and half north of you and I can still get 87 for $1.66 at Kroger and not much more elsewhere in the metro area. I wonder what's up with that.

i need to buy gas this afternoon when i'm off of work.

the 76 station i like to go to because they pump my gas for me at the self serve price is 2.27. booo.. if i wanted to save 5 cents a gallon i can go down the street to chevron, or save about 8 cents at an arco.

needless to say, i still have them pump my gas for me.

Freesia you live in a cool place but I'm glad I don't have to pay those Cali prices for everything!

Baah, It's up to $1.84 a gallon for regular here and over $2 in a few areas. My car gets 30+ mpg but with all the driving I do for work this is costing me a pretty penny.

Suddenly seeing those pictures of American forces humiliating Iraqi prisoners does not really seem that bad...

Premium is almost at 2 bucks in NC

I'm still hoping for a shortterm at $3. Just long enough to really put the fear of God into SUV owners. It would be fun for everyone involved.

That really rocks! That's one of my favorite things about Honda: Get a 5-speed, drive it reasonably, and you get gas mileage that can't be beat by any competitor in its class.

Those Accords are huge these days, and yet, their gas mileage has generally stayed about the same since the 86-89 generation, with incrementally improved performance to boot.

In California that would involve a notarized contract and your first born

My SUV only gets driven on the weekend regardless. Weekdays are what commuter cars are for.

suvs will always be around now. There are some here that are alternative fuel such as propane. It's more expensive to get alternative fuel, but you can bet your ass the status symbol people that buy suvs will pay for it if need be.

Well for those who have only one car, it's smart to buy an SUV or minivan, isn't it ? Why buy just a passenger car when you can buy utility on top of it to help you through [almost] every situation in life ? Cause of price of gas ? Not enough reason to me. Practicality (when you need it) is there. People buy sports cars but they don't need it every day either, especially on highways with speed limits.

Sure the gas increase hurts, but is it enough for me to regret buying an SUV (in '95) ? Hell no. It's gotten me through Buffalo and a hell of a lot of trips to Home Depot.
