wtf... everything is getting corrupted.

is this the trait of a new virus? I don't usually use a virus program because I never get one. I'm careful about sites I visit and what I DL and install.

Anyways it seems my files are being corrupted one by one. can't run chkdsk because it says thats corrupted too.

Getting ready to shut down and reinstall on a fresh hd. 🙁 Any special utility I can run on the current hd to save the data?
 


maybe the ram is my problem?? I guess I will find out soon enough after I format. The ram has been running fine for months though???

don't need AV program. In the rare rare event I get one I'll just reformat.

right now I cannot even ctrl-alt-del to bring up task mngr.
