Yeah you're blacked out lcoally because the game is on NESN and MLB can't interfere with NESN's exclusive broadcast rights.

Btw, welcome to hell (watching baseball games online). I signed up for MLB.tv when I was living in Montreal. The application kept insisting I was living in Boston and was blacked out. The only way to remedy it was to have them call a land line phone number ... which I didn't have. They wouldn't give me a refund, either so I spent the whole season trying to watch games via proxies.

Yikes that sucks.

I could setup a VPN to my home network if you guys want to be routed across the country...

...For a small fee, of course 🙂

Thats when you dispute the charge on your CC...

sorry if you're a fan of either team but im hoping the game gets rained out and espn has to either eat crap, grin and bear it or grovel and try and get the phillies/cards or white sox/royals game in the meantime. i dont think it would completely kill their pocketbook's if they were to cater to a smaller market team every once in a blue moon. at least in those two games there is a first place team playing another team that is within a game or two of gaining a share of the division lead.

Blackouts happen because either a) the game didn't sell out, so they want you to buy a ticket or b) because another channel has rights to the broadcast it in your area. In your case, it is b) so try connecting through a proxy.

At least you get espn 360.

I'm with Time Warner and I get nothing sport related that I'm interested in (NFL Network and Espn360). Oh well.
