WTF?...DVDs stolen out of package

My mom got me a Superman Returns DVD special edition for Christmas. I opened it up and noticed some of the tape at the top was loose. Popped it up and neither of the DVDs were in the package!!!
Walmart had better take it back! :|

Haha - Yeah DVDs are stolen from Wal-Mart pretty regularly. I noticed a case for MI:III sitting on an end cap with a DVD missing and gave it to a store employee. She said they have dozens stolen everyday that way.

How do you steal a dvd out of the case in the middle of walmart without anyone noticing.

Bang the case, so that it falls out of the little holder. A quick slash with a razorblade on the security labels and slide it right out.

People might notice, but will they say anything? I've seen a few people open up software boxes so they can read the manuals, once in bestbuy and another in costco.

I can usually tell by feel if it's empty, but I guess a two-disc set with a flap in the middle would probably throw me off.

one of my friends was doing that and one employer came to him asking why was he opening the sealed box and it shouldn't be happening like that before. my friend said he was reading the manual and threatened to tell the employer he had to be customer-friendly. the employer got pwned and left.

my friend scored a cd-key for ut2k4. 😕

And since it's manager's discretion whether to put cameras in the black security spheres, it seems like it would be pretty easy to steal from walmart
