Ok I did a fresh install of win2k on a new system... 2x 40gb wd hd's in an raid 0, 768 mb ram, leadtek geforce2 mx64 video card. after win2k installed, i installed the via 4 in 1 drivers, and then installed the video card drivers that came on the cd.

then when the computer reboots, it just freezes at the logon screen! i know the drivers are the problem because i fdisked and installed again and it happenend again!!!

why the heck would the drivers be the issue?

Might be the Leadtek drivers. In that case, use the reference detonators from nvidia.com

Next time you don't have to do another fresh install. Instead just boot to Safe Mode and remove the suspected drivers. If it's the Video driver replace it with the Standard VGA. If it's the Disk Controller replace it with the Standard Dual Controller. Then check the manufacturer for updated drivers or you can get idea from Forums like this one.
