Can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic. Which class are you referring to?

Edit: Oh, I guess you're referring to the ESC<Some number here>. I should mention that it is called 'Written and Oral Communication' (for Engineers basically) so I doubt there'll be much p00n there.

no i'm dead serious. if you're going to be in class that much, hopefully there is something other than an extreme desire to learn that makes you somewhat eager to attend!

This is probably the stupidest thing I have ever heard on ATOT.

Do you have homework and studying to do when you get home from work? Do you have programming assignments, after work, which take 30 to 40 hours each, with one due every other week? STFU. Just because you didn't go to college or didn't work hard doesn't mean that others don't.

I don't get to choose. They tell me what to take and when to take it. The only choice I got was to pick between Complex Analysis and Partial Differential Equations.

Which one did you pick? I loved both courses at my school :D so much so that I'm hitting the graduate levels asap (not next semester due to conflicts...g*damnit)

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Wrong again. I work full-time, have an adopted kid (none of my own yet), attend school in the evenings (I've taken up to 15 credit hours and worked full-time, taking 9 this semester), am married and serve in the Army Reserve as well. Also, I'm a Network Security administrator for DoD, so yes, I do work at home watching the firewall and IPS systems while I sit at home. I have multi-million dollar contracts that I plan and organize as well which requires drafting diagrams and doing research all the time at home. Hell, college is easy by comparison so stop thinking that your life is hard while you're attending college full-time. If I could do nothing but go on campus and go to school, I'd probably take 21 credit hours a semester just to keep myself busy, so stop making assumptions that I don't know what I'm talking about. I've done more in the past 4 years than any full-time college student could ever handle, regardless of their major, trust me.

I picked Complex Analysis. I figured PDE would be easier to pick up later on if necessary.

What was that Army marketing slogan?
"We get more done by 9 AM than most people accomplish all day." :)

Yep, pretty much. With my two weeks of annual training that started on the 10th of July, I've had exactly two full days away from either the Army or my civilian job since then. I start school in two weeks again as well, so any pissant who wants to come in and try to say that attending school full-time (short of Law school which I know can be time intensive) is hard hasn't really worked a good hard day of work in their lives. You try spending your Saturday at a range for 12 hours in body armor and 100 degree plus heat firing a rifle while laying in coarse gravel instead of hanging out, getting drunk and going home to talk about how hard your next paper is gonna be and then remember that you've still got to cook dinner for yourself and mow the lawn as well. It pisses me off to hear college kids bitch about how hard their schedule is, if you couldn't already tell.

In college I took 22 credits one semester, while working 60-80 hours a week... 35-40 overnights at target, and 25-40 at a computer lab.

Match that and i might start to feel sorry for you (Why the hours? roomates ditched a 2br apartment on me, and I had to handle a 1200 monthly rent payment + utilities + costs for college)

Well, I've never stayed the entire duration of a lab in my first couple years. Hopefully that trend will continue. Labs are teh suck. Basically one or two people know what to do and what's going on and everyone else just does what they do. Our Physics labs the first 2 years were the biggest waste of time EVER. I did the experiments myself in about 20 mins (of a 3 hour lab) and copied someone else's write up using my data. So pointless.

shens man - that's physically impossible unless you don't sleep at all. 4 credits is usually at least 3 hours per week of class time alone and your average CS class should be hooking you up with at least 7 or 8 hours a week of work.

so lets say 2 of your classes are actually CS...

total class time: at least 3*4 = 12 hours
total doing work time: at lest 2*8 = 16 hours
80 hours per week would already entirely fill up 5 days worth of time easily (with almost no sleep) + another minimum of 28 hours to span the last 2 days of the week. you either failed or are lying/exagerating.

physics lab was great. 30 minutes and you're out of there. lectures were better - an hour of sleep every tuesday and thursday. made off with a B both semesters. what really sucks are chemistry labs and any "hands-on" labs. i had to take labs for surveying, hydrology, silviculture and will have to have labs for transportation systems and soil mechanics. :( all of those i just described can amount 3+ hours of lab and additional hours outside of class to complete lab assignments.

Dude, working at a computer lab = study/HW time.
I doubt the classes were too difficult because there is no way you can pass if you work overnight without sleep.
It's not impossible but he must have been a wreck.

well then he was actually only working 35 hours a week (still a good amount). not sure what kind of computer lab we are talking about - if he just means sitting on his ass at a cluster helping liberal arts majors get their macs to work properly that's not that time consuming.

Bleh... seems like a pansy schedule to me.

Try waking up at 5am for group PT (was in the military).

Get ready and be at work at 7am. Work until 5pm and do this every day Monday through Friday.

After military work then attend two classes per night. One from 6:00-8:25pm and the other from 8:30-9:55pm. That's every day Monday through Thursday.

Then wake up bright an early Saturday for my third and fourth classes. 8:00am-12 noon for the first, and 12 :30pm to 4:30pm for my fourth class. Then I had my weekend job working for Best Buy on Friday night, Saturday night and all day Sunday all day.

Oh, and I majored in CS and minored in Math and got a 3.9 GPA.

Come back and post when you get a real schedule to complain about.

Lol, nice... because I worked in a computer lab part of the time, It doesnt count as working... have you ever tried to study and write code in a lab like that? With moronic liberal arts majors interrupting you every 5 minutes asking how to print, or how to make their font bold?

Yes, I survived by getting some work done there, but It was pretty much 4-6hrs of sleep every 2 days...

8am-4pm classes and work, 4pm-8pm work every tuesday thursday, then 10pm-7am overnight work at target.... so I got to sleep on wed, friday, then the weekend i usually had long crashes where i was dead to the world

IT SUCKED
