I had a 533 which once OCed to 850 no problem. I got it back after Xmas and its now with me and I stick it in the same rig that OCed it to 850.

I started at 633, 1.5V, posted, no problem,
680, 1.60v, Posted, booted to Windows, no problem.
then 800 (100 fsb), 1.7v, posted, but just can't get into Windows (safe mode okay though) it ALWAYS restart right after everything is done loading. (after splash screen and rest)

so I backed down to 700.
after a few games I restarted, and gave me the same crap that @800 did, booted to safe mode only and restarted Right after Normal mode failed.

so I backed down to 680.
after a few games I restarted, History repeat,

then to 633.
restarted after one game, AGAIN...

WTF???

Power off, yank the CPU out...re-apply the HS/fan for good measure...set it all back in and try again. Sounds really stupid but it has worked for me before when I had problems.

What mobo/slotket? and heatsink?

Are you using a slocket converter (Abit to be more precise)? I used to use an Abit converter and the same thing happened to me. It went away after I let the computer cool down for a little bit. Now I use an IWill slocket and I don't have problems. Sometimes, it actually even lets me o/c even higher after I run the computer for a while. It's not a stable o/c but it's still nice to post at a higher clock speed every once in a while. ;-)

Could be a failing power supply or one that just isn't up to snuff... as the system heats up it is no longer able to keep up with the current demands...
