As the title states

Currently 21, oldest credit card is 5 years; currently using ~60% of my available credit which is probably hurting my score; plan to pay that off within 3 months.

My credit score ~1 year ago was 750ish, but my balances were considerably lower then. All accounts in good standing, never had a late payment.

Learn the system on CreditBoards.com. I've got every card I want including Amex Plat and multiple cards with > 25k limits.

FICO doesn't matter as much as income, prior accounts with higher limits, and being able to talk to a credit analyst. A good spending pattern is nice as well. I was charging enough with Amex to where I was offered Plat at a reduced rate, and it has already paid for itself. Merrill Lynch Total Merrill is another good card that uses the exact same Concierge's service as Amex Plat/Centurion.

Agreed. Though I don't look at that board, I do have a lot of available credit for a 20-year-old male.

I have approximately $25,000 credit available to me (and I use about $500 a month of it).

Please explain...

Pretty much all credit nowadays is based on your credit score from one of the 3 credit bureaus. Your Fico score should be consistent with your credit score. None of these factor your present income but they do factor your credit history and available balances (which covers 'prior accounts with higher limits')...

Umm, so yeah. Anyway, I received all of my prime cards with FICOS of 620-640 so believe what you want. FICO is only a limitation if you don't know how to work the system -- thus read my OP.

I did, CreditBoards.com. You lectured me instead of asking me -- that was the problem.
